While growing up, Aja aspired to be many things such as a detective and a barber. However, she knew she liked to perform. She began dancing at four, bouncing behind the stage wings. At six, she joined the Junior Section of the Point Breeze Dance Company and performed around the U.S. Northeast region. Her interest in acting began after a Point Breeze production of Red Sneakers.
When she studied as a dance major at the High School for Creative & Performing Arts, she also studied acting at New Freedom Theater. At Freedom, she performed in multiple productions including The Creation Stories at Panama University. She recently graduated from Fordham University with a BA Degree in Theater & Sociology.
At Fordham, she performed in productions such as Ruined, Oh My Darling, Most Massive Woman Wins and Akyroyd. She also continued her dance training through The Ailey School, taking classes with Milton Myers and Graciela Kozak.
During her free time, Aja dances in the studio, in front of a mirror and in the shower. She does pilates, sings Disney songs and shares food videos on Facebook.
